FGCC and Love Life - The House of Refuge Statement

Full Gospel Christian Center has a ministry called Life Moments. A life
moment is a defining moment in your life whereby your life’s path or that
path a life that you carry is undeniably changed for the good. We would like
to walk with you as you experience this life moment. Our church is a House
of Refuge; this applies to everyone in this church or people you know that
need a place of refuge to get spiritual help.

Here’s what we believe:
If you find yourself pregnant, please know the child you carry is not a
punishment; the baby is a blessing. God is knitting this child in your
womb. Whatever your situation and circumstances are, we want you to know
you are loved. We will do whatever it takes to help you carry and care for this
precious child before and after birth or we will give you information about
adoption. Our church believes the child you carry is made in the image of
God and is essentially valuable and loved by God.

Here’s what we won’t do:
This church family will not gossip about you, shame you, or abandon you. This is
a House of Refuge, and we will not allow for anyone to harm one another with
words or actions contrary to the Love of God as revealed in his Word.

Here’s what we will do:
We will try to assist in ways that we can remove the obstacles standing in the
way of you having this child. A baby is part of you. There are people in this
church ready to serve you with resources such as godly mentors and essential
items for your newborn child. Our church will also hold men accountable for
living out their calling to provide and protect women and children. Our church
partners with a ministry called Love Life that is on the front lines of creating a
way of life in New York. If you have any questions about the resources, we can
connect you to Love Life, Lisa Washington, City Director by contacting our
church office. Finally, if you have ever had an abortion, we want you to know
that this is not an unforgivable sin. Whoever confesses and forsakes their sin
finds mercy in God. If you are interested in resources regarding a post abortive
mentoring, bible study, and prayer, we will be happy to connect you to someone
so that you can walk in complete healing and freedom.

Psalm 118:24 - This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be
glad in it.

whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is
excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have
learned or received or heard from me or seen in me – put it into practice.
